Hi hi everyone! Who was a huge fan of sheet
mask? Today I’m going to review one of my favorite skin pampering products. The
product I’m going to review is My Beauty Diary Sheet Mask in Black Pearl. For
some sheet mask lovers, including me, this mask is quite popular. They came
with so many variants, aloe, yogurt, sake yeast, red wine, bird nest and so on
but the most popular is black pearl. I
buy this mask from some drugstore in Taiwan and I love this mask! This is the
first Taiwan mask I ever use and I don’t have any complain on this mask.
This product claims to be hydrating and
whitening, combining the active ingredients from the black pearl together with
extracts from the marine and plants, it enhances the hydration of the skin
improving radiance. Natural vitamin C
extracted from plant essence helps to exfoliate gently, removing dead skin on
surface. This allows for deep moisturizing, improving skin elasticity,
energizing the skin for a healthy, radiant look (according to the website).
This brand is best known for it’s suitability with asian skin type, using
natural ingredients and it’s affordable price .
One box contains 8 piece of sheet mask (I
already use it 4 and decided to make a review so that’s why there was only 4
piece of sheet in the photo). The box is quite stylish with cute design and
have that glossy finish so it was pretty hard to take photos of it because it
reflects the light.
Same with the box, the sheets also come
with glossy material and cute design. The back of the sheet packaging is
written with mandarin except the ingredients but the usage of the mask is
pretty much the same with another mask, use it on a clean face, leave it for
15-20 minutes, pat lightly the excess essence on the face and you can use your
skincare afterwards. I usually rinse the essence after I pat it lightly because
I feel my face gets sticky but this was optional.
The manufacture date and expire date was
written at the back bottom of the package so you can easily track the
expiration date of the sheet. Make sure the sheet you are using is not expired
otherwise it can bring harm to your skin.
So what is my opinion about this mask? First,
I was so amazed with the amount of the essence. The first time I open it, the
mask drenched with the essence and after I use it there are still some
leftovers inside the plastic so this brand really doesn’t reduce the essence
due to its affordable price. Second, the sheet was very thin so the essence was
absorbed to the face and not on the sheet. This is my important point in
choosing sheet mask. Some mask just have too thick sheet and I don’t feel like
the essence is absorbed onto the skin but to the sheet itself.
(The unique thing that this mask have is they have that extra layer on the sheet)
(The sheet is almost transparent, feels like it was my second skin)
Third, the cooling effect when you use the
mask. Usually I put the mask in refrigerator for more refreshing effect but
last time I bring this mask to Singapore and didn’t put it in refrigerator but
I still feel the refreshing cooling effect. The result of this mask is quite
amazing, I have use this four times and it works as it claims, this mask really
hydrates the skin and makes the skin one step brighter. This mask also doesn’t
have that strong perfume scent like other mask. It doesn’t break my skin out
which is a good point. So this mask is safe for acne prone and sensitive skin.
My only problem is this mask is slightly bigger than my face so it doesn’t fit
the part perfectly but well, I haven’t find a mask that fit perfectly on my
skin #smallfaceproblems. But overall, this mask is great for hydrating and
brightening so I highly recommend this to all of you. I would definitely
repurchase this mask again maybe with other variants if I can find it in Medan. I don’t know where
to find this mask in Medan but I guess maybe it can be found in Guardian.
